The Tuesday afternoon board game days start at 1:00 PM (gringo time) at JR's place (Macaws) on the Malecón.  I'm bringing Scrabble, Monopoly, Cribbage, Rummicubes, Chinese Checkers, Uno, Dominos and whatever. Oh yeah, I'm bringing Jimmy too! See you there, we hope!!!!

The store at 4 stops has been moved out into the old ice cream shop and what was La Bodega is now "Sassha's Gym", a Loreto aerobics facility.

The Loreto Pinochle group meets on Saturday for those so inclined.  Currently only one tables plays at Laura's. (Saturday  1:00 PM (gringo time!)

Dates for the annual Gringo Charity Christmas Garage sale have been defined (thanks tweety!) Internado Christmas Gift Party is Dec. 5 at the Nicholls' home in Nopolo. Always a good time for a good cause! Details to follow. The Annual Garage/Bake Sale will be November 30th at Internado. You can sell stuff (making the appropriate donation, of course) or donate things directly for use or sale. We need homemade cakes, cookies, breads, etc. as well as homemade jellies, jams, etc. donated to sell. More details to follow. Volunteers, as always, will be greatly appreciated!

I have been told - If you are out on the Sea of Cortez and find a boat abandoned.  You can bring it back to the Captain of the port of Loreto and if the owner dose not claim it in 3 months it is yours.  Boats may be found adrift because drug smugglers abandoned them.  That is what I have been told anyway.

We also have a dog removal truck now if you have a problem call the police and they will pick up the problem dogs.

If you're looking for a place to stay, in La Paz, check out www.casamex.com Just getting to know the owner, Arlaine, is worth it. And the breakfast is excellent. It's an experience all by itself and worth the price!

Plans are looking good for the 2nd year of the Loreto Soft Tip Dart League.  No date set for starting but pencil it in for January in your date book. They played a 12 week series last year.  A mixed doubles format was used.  Please call Paulette 13-5-11-29

The new bridges at the foot of B Juarez and Paso M. Hidalgo has been somewhat completed.  The concrete drainage channel under the Malecon for Jordan (corner of Charlie's) is nearing completion.  The rain came before it was ready to test.  At both bridges.  At the intersection of B. Juarez is a nicely extended concrete pad with additional benches. Also a wall, about 2 feet high, forms a small traffic circle -Loreto style - that now makes it a problem to get a boat from B. Juarez onto the Malecon.  Hidalgo is your best bet with a trailer.  Also the concrete benches have all been replaced with metal benches that will uncomfortably seat three adults.  The alternate in the direction the bench faces the street or the water.  The seawall has been strengthened with the addition of a number of truckloads of ROCKS!

Restaurant Tio Lupe             New Benches              Jorge's New Bridge

Tio Lupe's Restaurant has mover from the corner across from the El Pescador to the old El Adobe/La Bomba restaurant.  Lupe is cooking so it is Good food!  We received large hot portions also and had to take about half home!  Standard Loreto menu with competitive prices.
